When an intellectual property is infringed it is imperative to get immediate remedy against the infringement through the court of law. Enforcement can be accomplished efficaciously by way of civil action or criminal action. A person can take civil action by filing a suit seeking injunction along with claim for damages. It includes search and seizure of infringed goods through the order of court.

Injunction is a remedy which prohibits the infringer from further continuation of illegal work. Another way of taking action is by the indulgence of police through filing criminal complaint before the court of law. Criminal action can be taken directly by police also. Accordingly an order is passed by the court pertaining to the warrant of search and seizure of the infringed goods. The raid is then conducted by Police along with seizure of these goods.
